Mathematics is too arcane and
inaccessible for most people to appreciate. For example,
Music is, however, available to everyone. As with any spoken or written language, some people are better users than others. Most pop music is as forgettable as pulp fiction. Good music, like good literature, is a pleasure to experience. I'll limit this list of musicians to what is currently on my MP3 player. The Poets Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Van Morrison, Paul Simon, Sting The Classics Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart The Blues Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, Robert Cray, John Lee Hooker, Robert Johnson, BB King Rock & Roll, Pop, Eclectic Andrea Bocelli, Bruce Cockburn, Nat King Cole, Indigo Girls, Don Henley, Genesis, Kitaro, Alanna Myles, Frank Sinatra, Douglas Spotted Eagle, Rolling Stones
And of course, the music of the world... hearing humpback whales while scuba diving, sitting beside a babbling brook, leaves rustling in the breeze, rain falling at night, birds welcoming the new day.
